Grieving

My baby girl died today.

My heart hurts and my arms literally ache with the need to touch her sweet face again, kiss her soft cheeks, and run my hands through her curly red hair.

I miss her desperately.

I know her spirit is all around, but I want it in that precious beautiful body that I long to hold again.  I wanted to scream at the morticians DO NOT TAKE HER FROM ME!  PLEASE DON’T TAKE HER AWAY!  Why can’t she just stay in her bed so I can see her whenever I want?

I didn’t expect that reaction.  And it’s excruciating.

I won’t see her smile or hear her laugh.

How lucky I am to be this girl’s momma.  To be chosen just for her was an honor I didn’t take lightly.  I brought a shining star to this earth.

Miss Ciara completed a triumphant run as Professor Callahan in Alverno High School's production of "Legally Blonde: The Musical!" earlier this month.  Auntie Kat flew out from KY to see her on Opening Night.

January 2014 - AHS Winter Concert

Mid-January, the week before semester finals is not exactly the optimal time to have a Choral Concert, but the Harvest Concert slated for November was bumped to January.  It was a beautiful night of song.
