Easter Wednesday

Our second local trip was to the Los Angeles Zoo which my kidlets love. (I think the place needs serious help, a better layout, better management, and should look like it's a zoo in a major metropolitan city. But I digress.)

We had a nice morning looking at the animals that were available and headed home for lunch.

I thought this was a pretty cool shot. My beloved gorillas were camera inaccessible this visit.

I have snapped this same pose for years, but usually they are looking at zebras and not flamingos. Unfortunately for Brendan the zebra habitat was being cleaned :o(

A boy and his meerkats. Usually the meerkats are nowhere to be found when we visit. Brendan, an avid fan of "Meerkat Manor", was most happy to see this twosome.

Little sister dragging her brother through the zoo.

I love the LA Zoo, but I agree with you about the fixing it up.

I don't think I really have a favorite animal, though I think the giraffes are very graceful.

Does Bren still have Ya-Ya the Meerkat?

I think doing the zoo can be a very exhausting experience. I commend you for taking it in the heat! Especially, if the animals are all napping or hiding out when you come by to visit them. We were lucky enough to catch three generations of gorillas having fun on their play set when we went back in Feb. All the monkey types are my favorite. :o) It looks like the kidlets had a lot of fun on their animal adventure.
